Warm-up ramp and daily limits
Why new inboxes start at 10 emails a day and how to set the limit.
Updated 20 October 2026
A brand-new inbox that suddenly sends hundreds of emails looks like a spammer. Outly's warm-up is a sending ramp: the inbox starts small and sends a little more each day, the way a real new inbox would.
Warm-up is on for every newly connected inbox. It starts at 10 emails on day one and adds 5 a day until it reaches the inbox's daily limit. The card on Accounts shows today's allowance and how many days are left.
- Open Accounts.
- On the inbox's card, click the Sent today number (for example 0 / 450), type a new daily limit and click the tick. The limit can be 1 to 1,000.
- Under Warm-up ramp, use Start warm-up or Turn off.
Tip
New inboxes come with a high default limit, so with warm-up on it takes months to reach it. For cold email, most senders keep each inbox to a few dozen emails a day and add more inboxes instead. Lower the limit to what you actually want to send.
Good to know
This isn't an engagement network. Outly doesn't have inboxes email each other or fake opens and replies. It only controls how much you send.
The limit is per inbox and shared by every campaign using it. Health checks can lower it further for a while. See Why an inbox gets halved or paused.
