Connect a Gmail or Google Workspace inbox
Let Outly send from your own Google inbox and see the replies.
Updated 20 October 2026
Outly sends every email through your own inbox, so it arrives from your address and replies land in your mailbox as normal. Nothing goes through a shared sending server.
- In the app, open Accounts from the sidebar.
- Click Connect Gmail. You are sent to Google to sign in.
- Pick the inbox you want to send from and allow the permissions Google lists: send email for you, read your email (so Outly can spot replies and bounces), and see your email address.
- Google sends you back to Accounts with Account connected successfully. The inbox appears as a card.
- On the card, click the Sent today number to set the inbox's daily limit. Warm-up is switched on for new inboxes.
Tip
Use a Google Workspace address on your company domain rather than a personal @gmail.com address for cold email, and set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC on that domain first. See Set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
If the card says the connection needs refreshing
Google can revoke access, for example after a password change. The card then shows reauth required and a Reconnect button. Click it and approve again; campaigns using that inbox wait until you do. Check connection re-tests a working inbox at any time.
Good to know
Disconnect stops every campaign that uses this inbox from sending until you reconnect it.
